TABJ will host a panel discussion entitled, "The Negro Beat: Breaking News and Breaking Barriers." Hear from journalists that helped integrate media outlets in the Piedmont Triad and beyond, and participate in a discussion about what the challenges there are now for African-Americans in the media.
This is a community event. Please bring anyone and everyone to participate!

Allen Johnson - editorial page editor for the News & Record
Billy Rich - former photojournalist for WXII12
Mae Israel - former reporter for the News & Record
Karen Parker - former copy editor for the Winston-Salem Journal
