TABJ has added prize-winning investigative journalist Phoebe Zerwick to its panel Untold Stories: Veteran Journalists Discuss the Evolution of Diversity in Newsrooms Zerwick, a Wake Forest University lecturer, specializes in telling complex stories about issues spanning health care, education, and the criminal justice system. Her work has been featured in the HBO documentary The Trials of Darryl Hunt. For more than 20 years, she worked for the Winston-Salem Journal. The panel will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the historic Artz at the Ritz Theatre, 709 E. Washington St., High Point, N.C. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. The other panelists include retired WSOC-TV reporter Don Griffin, retired WFMY-TV anchor Sandra Hughes, and News & Record editorial page editor Allen Johnson. They will share their personal insights of how newsrooms have handled diversity over the past five decades and how they covered major stories. They will also take questions from the audience.
